Rosaline Elbay on Discovering Her Love for Acting at 10
Rosaline Elbay traced her passion for acting back to childhood, when she began attending after-school drama classes at around 10 years old.
Her early classes involved performing child-friendly adaptations of Shakespeare, including Romeo and Juliet. She recalled one rehearsal in particular, when nerves got the better of her during a scene that required her to deliver a message. Instead, she threw the paper to the ground, prompting her teacher to stop the rehearsal and address what had happened.
Elbay also reflected on the differences she experiences between working in Egypt and working abroad, sharing how the two environments feel distinct from one another.
