Edgar Ramírez on Mental Health and the Pressure of Being an Artist
Edgar Ramírez is urging artists to take their mental health as seriously as their craft.
He pointed out that creating art means pouring a part of yourself into the work, making it just as important to look after the person behind it. Rather than getting caught up in the final product, Ramírez encouraged artists to embrace the creative process as a journey.
He also acknowledged the pressure that comes with constantly having to create, which can take a toll on artists’ mental wellbeing. For him, prioritising mental health is key to enjoying the process and building a creative career that lasts.
