Badra on Art, Creative Inspiration and Kamel El Adad
Badra invites us into her home to talk about her love for art, the experiences that shaped her creative journey, and the challenges she has overcome along the way.
She also reflects on working on Kamel El Adad and how her performance evolved across the seasons. From the beginning, she believed in the project — so much so that after the first season wrapped, she told the director she would see them again for season two.

I'm a good guy, I'm a good guy, I'm a good guy, I'm a good guy. Let's go! She always asked me my tattoo. She was a singer, a writer, she painted also. And here we have one of the paintings that she did before she died. This is my dad, actually. A dancer, and this also painting for an old belly dancer. I don't know what I'm going to do with you. Who is Omar? Do you want me to do this? No. You want me to do this? If Omar was here, he would not accept this. They called me one day, and they told me that they have the script ready, and Badra is already in the script. Actually, I was very scared to say yes, because I wasn't ready, and I didn't speak any Arabic, so I was like, when I want to do something, I want to do it right. Then when I'm shooting, I'm like, Badra, you know, I feel so small, because the cast, it's so cool, and they have so much experience, they're all so talented. In this season three, it was more like, I'm growing. I feel like in the first season, I was a little bit lost, like just following what I have to do, you know, like, I got married, I got pregnant, I have kids, and then I have all the grieving from Omar, and all the situation. And I feel like this season, I feel so confident, because I feel like Badra knows what she wants, not what she needs. And it's the same in the camera that is happening in my real life, so yeah. The last day of the first season, I told the director, see you in season two. Like, I was like, so confident that this is going to be something very big, you know. I have, this is just a small collection of my books, in my room I have the beni, I have also some dancers here, Egyptian ones, I have my family, some stuff about the series that I like, friends. And this one, I love it so much, it's from Anarche.
